Cristo Rey Dallas, a private Catholic high school, grants students near or below the federal poverty line a private education and a bright future. This year's freshmen will be the inaugural class of Cristo Rey Dallas.
Their specialized schooling is designed to prepare students for college as well as incorporate practical work experience with participating corporations. Each student will devote five days a month to a Corporate Work Study Program where they earn approximately 60% of the cost of their education. Lincoln will become one of Cristo Rey's corporate sponsors, hosting four rotating interns in their Dallas headquarters daily. The program, running from August until June 2016, will give these high school freshmen a glimpse into the world of real estate, performing tasks according to Lincoln's needs as well as their interests and skills. Activities can range from administrative work, to Excel data entry, and more complex tasks further into the program. Lisa Sandone, Lincoln's Corporate Accounting Manager, stated, "We are beyond excited to pair with Cristo Rey and introduce these future leaders to the world of business and real estate. We're proud to support such a great program and are optimistic about the outcome."
